In consideration for this opportunity to volunteer for Vegan World, I understand and agree to the following terms and conditions:

1.  All services performed by me will be performed on a strictly voluntary basis. I understand that I will receive no pay, compensation or remuneration of any kind.
2. I understand that I will not be an employee of Vegan World. I will not receive any benefits normally available to employees of Vegan World and that the relationship is terminable at will.
3. I understand that I will NOT RECEIVE ANY BENEFITS as a volunteer of Vegan World.
4. I agree to volunteer a minimum of once a month for Vegan World.
5. I will abide by the mission, rules, regulations, policies and programs of Vegan World while I am a volunteer.
6. I understand that I will be supervised by Vegan World manager(s) or designated partners/leads. I agree to work as a team member with all other volunteers, partners, and employees.
7. I agree to treat all animals, other volunteers, Vegan World staff and the general public with dignity and respect.
8. I understand that I am considered a designated caretake of any animal that I remove from the shelter with permission from Vegan World manager(s).
9. If I shelter or provide foster care or boarding for any Vegan World animals in my home, I consent to having a Vegan World representative visit my home from time to time to observe the animals and their living quarters.
   1. I also understand that I must keep Vegan World Animals separate from my own pet(s).
10. I agree to truthfully and accurately complete my Volunteer Application and this agreement, release and waiver.
11. I will attend volunteer onboarding & training prior to volunteering for events, cattery care or other opportunities requiring training. I understand that:
    
    1. I will attend and view any Vegan World orientation materials;
    2. after registration, I will sign up for an event/training within 30 days.
12. I will not conduct or participate in illegal activity on any Vegan World Property or at any Vegan World events.
13. Vegan World volunteers must be at least 18 years or age. If I am between the ages of 12-17 years of age, my parent or guardian must also complete an online application, sign this and all other required volunteer agreements and other documents as well as attend volunteer orientation and that I must adhere to the following:
    
    1. If I am aged 12-15, I must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times; and
    2. if I am aged 16-17, I may obtain a signed parental waiver in order to volunteer without a parent or guardian supervision. If I am a minor, I will only volunteer when these requirements have been completed. 
14. I understand that Vegan World recommends that I keep my tetanus immunization current and that any dogs and/or cats that live with me are immunized and kept current on their immunizations.
15. I have not been convicted of, nor am I currently charged with any of the following crimes: A felony within the past five (5) years; Any cruelty to animals at any time; Robbery; Burglary; Theft; Fraud; Money laundering
16. I understand that as a volunteer for Vegan World:
    
    1. I assume all risks of loss or injury, including death to myself or damage to my property while on the property of Vegan World and elsewhere, while participating in the volunteer program;
    2. Vegan World shall incur no liability of any nature as a result of my volunteering for Vegan World;
    3. In handling animals and performing other volunteer tasks there is a risk of injury, including physical harm or death, and that all services performed by me will be done at my own risk.
    4. On behalf of myself, my heirs and personal representatives, I hereby release, discharge and indemnify and hold harmless Vegan World, and its assigns, successors, agents, staff, officers, board of directors, employees, contractors and representatives from any and all claims, causes of action or demands of any nature of cause whatsoever, including costs and legal fees arising out of, or relating to, my volunteering with Vegan World, including, but not limited to, animal bites, disease, accidents, property damage or injuries.
    5. I assume all risks of loss or injury, including death to myself or damage to my property while on the property and waive any and all claims against Vegan World.
    6. I agree that as a volunteer of Vegan World, any violation of this agreement may subject me to action, up to and including termination of my volunteer relationship with Vegan World.
